Our History

October 1956 was when it all began, Henry Duffin bought a Thrashing Drum with an ambition to be a contractor.  Brought up on the Family Farm at Furze Hill, Owston and working for a local farmer he was able to buy this revolutionary piece of equipment.  With that his customer base expanded with the demand for Henrys skills and assistance on farms being delivered.  Supported by June his wife in running the small holding with Chickens, Cattle and taking calls, passing on messages and doing the bookwork the business grew.  You can't imagine how it must have been without the use of Mobile technology which we rely on today.

Henrys sons Paul and David followed with the passion for farming and Paul expanded the contracting and farming enterprise you see today.   This is now supported by third generation with Josh, Liam and Michael taking more and more responsibility for the Agricultural services and Groundwork we offer to customers.  We have a great team of employees 

With the challenges facing agriculture the business continues to invest in new techonology, equipment to benefit Farms and Estates, Landowner and other businesses.
